Match Results For Week Three In The LCS

The LCS has entered week three of the Spring Split, and while some teams have showcased their talent for finding victory in defeat, other teams are still staring at the defeated screen after yet another loss today. Here’s a brief breakdown of the games from day one of week three in the LCS 2019 Spring Split.

100 Thieves – Clutch Gaming

Clutch Gaming tempted fate by picking Jayce and Zilean in this match, and 100 Thieves were more than happy to punish them for their error. This hands 100 Thieves their second win of the season, a result that is somewhat surprising considering the caliber of their team and the hype they generated in the off-season. Perhaps this is where 100 Thieves starts to shine?

Flyquest – Team Liquid

Team Liquid are still on a rampage in the LCS, claiming their 5th win today as they take down Flyquest. It’s hard to know when Team Liquid will face a foe they can’t beat, though based on their performance over the last few weeks, that isn’t coming anytime soon.

TSM – Cloud9

Cloud9 managed to do what the EU teams couldn’t, and find victory through the use of Sylas, the latest champion to hit the game. You can check out our full write-up here.

Echo Fox – CLG

A disappointing loss for Echo Fox is a morale boosting win for CLG. Yin and yang, ebb and flow, somehow CLG have managed to find themselves tied for second place with Cloud9 and Flyquest. Could this be a new era of faith?

OpTic Gaming – Golden Guardians

The Golden Guardians have picked up their first win in the LCS, meaning they now have an actual stat-line rather than a nebulous 0. One would hope that this is a turning point for Golden Guardians, as they start to turn their individual skills into team wins.
