Rioter Responds To Streamer Complaints About The League Of Legends Punishment System
By Zac Cameron ·
After the issue was raised on social media, Riot Blaustoise took to Twitter to explain his thoughts behind the situation.

Just a couple of days ago, two popular League of Legends streamers took to Twitter to complain about the state of the game. Christian “IWillDominate” Rivera stating, “Season 9 is what the game looks like when you spend years banning people for typing mean things instead of banning people for trolling games”, while Daryl "wingsofdeathx" Hennegan followed up with “I can mute flamers. Where is the mute button on my bot lane running it down for 10 deaths in 12 minutes.”

While the community reactions to the statements were mixed, the general sentiment online seemed to agree somewhat with the streamers, with a desire from the player-base to see both flamers and feeders punished for their actions in game. This has resulted in a series of tweets from Riot Blaustoise, as he explains where the anger is coming from and how difficult it can be to track down and punish everyone who misbehaves in a game.
“My response (NOT Riot's) to @LiquidDominate's post about toxicity and the reddit thread that blew up. TLDR I somewhat agree with Dom & disagree with a lot of reddit comments. Strict punishment for toxic chat without punishment of toxic gameplay causes feelings of injustice,” wrote Blaustoise, before launching into a series of tweets that explain his views on the matter.

Whether or not you agree with the streamers or Blaustoise, it’s great to see Rioters taking the initiative to explain their viewpoints on matters that clearly have the community aggravated in some way.
