A Dota 2 Major Might Be Held At Disneyland Paris

It looks like one of the two unannounced locations for Dota 2 Majors for 2019 may end up being in the happiest place on earth.

A new report from Esports Insider indicates that one of the two unannounced Dota 2 Major locations will be held in Disneyland Paris. The May and June Majors have yet to have their locations announced, yet a job listing seems to point towards a trip to the happiest place on earth for professional Dota 2 teams.
Esports Insider found a job listing for an advertised role that told prospective applicants that they would be in charge of sales for several esports events, such as the League of Legends European Championship and the unannounced Dota 2 Major. This matches up nicely with Disney’s recent moves into the esports scene, when they began broadcasting events such as the Overwatch League and EVO on Disney XD.
The event will be in partnership with Mars Media, who have their own event coming up later this month, MDL Macau 2019. This would also be the largest Dota 2 tournament held in Paris, which has previously played host to various League of Legends events to great success. It’s unclear at this time whether the event will take place in May or June, however it’s expected to feature a prize pool of $1 million along with 15,000 Dota Pro Circuit points, similar to the other Major tournaments.
