Atlanta Reign Troll Fans With Dogman Announcement
By Zac Cameron ·
The Atlanta Reign OWL team is leaning into the memes, producing a troll roster announcement for Dusttin 'Dogman' Bowerman.
The action all kicked off earlier today when Dusttin ‘Dogman’ Bowerman announced that he was officially off the Atlanta Reign Academy team and was looking for a new roster. Fans were naturally confused and upset with the news, considering Dogman was a popular personality and one of the better players in Overwatch Contenders.
I am LFT Acad/OWL, thank you to @ATLAcademyOW for giving me a great home best of luck to the team next season.

The Atlanta Reign then released a video where Cas ‘Casores’ van Andel, the Player Development Coach of Atlanta, explained the reasons the team had for letting Dogman go from their academy team. "We've noticed a lot of concern regarding the Dogman situation and felt it necessary to provide our fans with an appropriate response,” stated Casores. “I’m just here to say he wasn’t the right fit for the team.”

We firmly believe that Dusttin has a bright future ahead of him.

The video then took an interesting turn, as Casores began to make fun of Dogman’s name and his living conditions, before the revelation that Dogman might be off the academy team, but that’s because he is joining the Overwatch League team. it’s been a quick rise for Dogman, who won the Overwatch Contenders Season 2 Trials with LNL, an unsponsored team before being picked up by Atlanta Academy, which would go on to finish second in Contenders Season 3. It seems the Atlanta Reign aren’t afraid of making a few jokes as the team prepares for the start of the 2019 Overwatch League season.
