Shroud Points to View Bots for Massive Apex Legends Twitch Viewership
By Nicholas Barth ·
Popular Twitch streamer shroud has explained that view bots could be making a significant impact on the highly impressive viewership numbers he has attained while playing Apex Legends.

The first week of Apex Legends being available for everyone in the world to play has led to the new battle royale title from Respawn Entertainment to climb the Twitch viewership charts as one of the most watched games on the streaming platform. Former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) player turned star Twitch streamer Michael "shroud" Grzesiek has been at the forefront of the impressive viewership that Apex Legends has had on Twitch since its release. While shroud has pulled in over 100,000 viewers multiple times while streaming Apex Legends, the high-profile Twitch personality recently explained that he believes that something else besides his talent at the battle royale title could be leading to his massive viewership numbers.
While playing a session of Apex Legends on his Twitch stream recently, shroud explained that he believes that view bots could be playing a major role in the success that he has seen with the newly released battle royale title.
"This past week has been nuts. I've never ever, ever, ever, ever had so many viewers consistently day after day after day at f**king 11 PM, 2 AM, 3 AM," said shroud. "There are a hundred thousand people just hanging out. Like, I don't even believe it is real. I believe it is being botted. Someone out there I believe is botting something. I just don't believe it is real.....personally. But, I'll take it."
It could be a possibility that someone has decided to send an army of view bots to the channel of shroud this past week while the Twitch streamer has been playing Apex Legends. However, the combination of one of the most popular and skilled battle royale players and the overwhelmingly positive reception that Apex Legends has received from the video game community is likely the major factor in the former CS:GO professional player of shroud collecting an extraordinary amount of views on Twitch this past week.
