LCS Match Recaps For Week 4 Of The Spring Split

We’ve seen a ton of action now in the LCS, as the top teams in North America battle hard for a chance at being the best in their region. While some teams have shown they have what it takes to rise to the top, others seem to be struggling a bit in adapting to their new circumstances. Here’s a brief breakdown of the games from Day 1, Week 4 of the LCS 2019 Spring Split.

TSM – OpTic Gaming

TSM have somewhat bounced back from a disappointing early few weeks, picking up another victory by taking down OpTic Gaming top start week 4. While fans will undoubtably be hoping the team can continue to put up wins, it’s likely that TSM will need to change something in the long term, if they want to once again dominate North America.

Golden Guardians – Team Liquid

Team Liquid continue their undefeated streak, taking down the Golden Guardians despite last weeks impressive performance. It’s hard to imagine what it will take to topple Doublelift and friends, though we can only imagine the other teams are hard at work plotting their demise.

Cloud9 – Echo Fox

Cloud9 have managed to find another win in the LCS, taking down Echo Fox in a match that showcased not just their skills as players, but also their showmanship. Diving the enemy fountain to get a Penta-Kill is always fun to watch, though perhaps next time the team should make sure they’re all on the same page when they try to pull it off.

100 Thieves – Flyquest

Flyquest continue to find victories here and there as they cement their place as a mid-range team in the LCS. frankly we expected to see more from 100 Thieves this season, after their roster changes and promises of even better results, though given their performance at the 2018 World Championships perhaps this is exactly what was promised.

Clutch Gaming – CLG

CLG are doing surprisingly well all things considered, putting on a performance that would easily put them in the middle of the pack. While this isn’t a great look for a team that was once the best in the region, it is an improvement from last year, so perhaps we’ll just have to take what we can get.
