Tfue Gives Grim Prediction of Fortnite Ahead of Season 8

Turner "Tfue" Tenney of FaZe Clan is regarded as one of the most talented Fortnite Battle Royale players in the world with the title of winningest Fortnite player in history when it comes to prize money won helping to support this assertion. This is why it has not been surprising to see Tfue stick with Fortnite in the past couple of weeks when a majority of the top Fortnite Twitch streamers have shifted their focus on the new title taking over the battle royale genre in Apex Legends. However, during a recent stream, FaZe Tfue gave a very grim prediction for the future of the game in regards to its survival against Apex Legends ahead of the start date for Season 8 of Fortnite.

While Tfue was discussing an instance of the viewer count for both Apex Legends and Fortnite where Apex Legends had at one point over 700,000 viewers compared to over 90,000 for its main competitor in a clip that was captured by YouTube channel Fortnite Moments, Tfue of FaZe Clan stated that the new battle royale title of Apex Legends is going to be the game that takes down the video game industry giant that has been Fortnite.

"Apex Legends is going to kill Fortnite," said Tfue.

Following his simple yet grim forecast for the future of Epic Games' battle royale game going up against Apex Legends from Tfue, the Fortnite Moments video shows a statement made by Tfue at an earlier date where Tfue had given another negative perception for the future of the game.

"This game is going to die so quickly. It's actually depressing to think about. I give this game a year probably until it dies. Enjoy it while the sh*t lasts dude. So bad. I mean I'm not wrong, dude," said Tfue. "I've never been wrong predicting anything about this game. Let's be honest. Everything I said ended up happening in the future. This game will be dead within a year."

Apex Legends has gathered a great deal of Twitch viewership and tens of millions of players since its release on February 4th, but individuals have pointed to the fact that Twitch viewership is not the only indicator of a game with a healthy player base. With Season 8 of Fortnite scheduled to begin on Thursday, February 28th, there could be a chance that the Epic Games battle royale title is able to make up some of the ground that it has lost to Apex Legends.

However, it is also possible that the grim prediction by Tfue of FaZe Clan holds true and not even the start of Season 8 and all of its highly anticipated content can stop Apex Legends from continuing its run to replace Fortnite as the top dog in the battle royale genre.
