Johnny Cage Revealed For Mortal Kombat 11 Ahead of Latest Kombat Kast

A Mortal Kombat game really wouldn’t be a Mortal Kombat game without the boisterous nature of one of its original stars, and now that star has returned. Ahead of the Kombat Kast for February 27, Johnny Cage has been revealed for Mortal Kombat 11 and he’s looking just as fun as ever.

Johnny was announced late on February 26, 2019, a little while after the Evo 2019 main game lineup reveal. With his fresh new look came a fresh new trailer showcasing all of his style via IGN. In the trailer, we get to see a little bit of all of Johnny’s styles as well as perhaps one of the most entertaining fatalities in Mortal Kombat 11 shown so far. His trademark original head uppercut sure has come a long way.

Just like many of the previous classic Mortal Kombat characters shown, Johnny is bringing back his old back of tricks and a few new ones for Mortal Kombat 11. Green energy is abundant in his kicks and projectiles, the latter of which seems to come with straight throws and arcing ones to keep jumping opponents on guard. Johnny also gets things like his empowered knuckle states which make his punches stronger. Maybe the most amusing is the ability to call out a stunt double to hold enemies in place while Johnny opens a fresh can of combo on them.
