The middling mote and synthesizer are two items new to Destiny 2 thanks to the Reckoning, and we have all of the info you need to know about the Tier 2 items covered.

Destiny 2 Middling Mote, Synthesizer Reckoning Tier 2 Guide

The Season of the Drifter is currently in full swing for the world of Destiny 2, and it has brought a brand new game mode for Guardians to experience in The Reckoning. However, in order to play The Reckoning, you will have to get a weak synthesizer by completing the User Testing Quest which can be completed by meeting the requirements of any of the Prime Dail Bounties for the other new Season of the Drifter game mode in Gambit Prime. You will then get a weak synthesizer that can be upgraded to a middling synthesizer by completing one of the four Prime Daily Drifter Bounties in Destiny. The middling synthesizer can then be turned into a middling mote. However, the middling mote cannot currently be used until Tier 2 of The Reckoning is unlocked for players by Bungie.

Currently, Destiny players who try to use their newly formed middling mote in The Reckoning are not able to do so. The reasoning for this is that the upgraded mote that comes from the upgraded synthesizer is a Tier 2 item for The Reckoning. With only the Tier 1 content available for the new game mode in the Destiny universe, the higher tier mote is unfortunately not a usable item in the world of Destiny 2.

However, in the roadmap that Bungie has released for The Season of The Drifter content that is currently at the center of focus for the popular first-person shooter's community, it was confirmed that Tier 2 for The Reckoning will be arriving in the Destiny universe on Friday, March 8th. This means that the end of the first week of the Season of The Drifter will be when players will be able to finally use the higher tier middling mote that they obtained from their upgraded synthesizer as a wager in order to get even more powerful gear to combat the forces of The Darkness with.
