Halo Reach and the Master Chief Collection or MCC will be coming to the Steam marketplace on PC in the future.
Tuesday, March 12th saw a major announcement be made by Microsoft in the form of the official confirmation that Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) and Halo: Reach will be coming to the Steam marketplace and the Microsoft Store on PC in the future.
Halo: Reach, Master Chief Collection (MCC) Coming to Steam on PC
The highly anticipated news of Reach and the Master Chief Collection (MCC) coming to PC on Steam and the Microsoft Store was made during the Inside Xbox stream that was held on Mixer on March 12th. This move of Reach and the MCC coming to PC comes at a time where Microsoft has gone all in when it comes to their exclusive titles being available on both Xbox and PC with the likes of Gears of War 4 being the first to do so.
However, Reach and the MCC will not be released through Steam and the Microsoft Store all at once. A staggered release window will be used for the introduction of the highly anticipated titles to the PC platform with Reach coming to Steam and the Microsoft Store. This title will then be followed by Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, the ODST Campaign, and finally Halo 4.
No official release date for when the titles would be coming to Steam and the Microsoft Store was announced during the reveal broadcast of the monumental news.
There were plenty of positive reactions to the news of Reach and the Master Chief Collection coming to Steam and the Microsoft Store, as it has been a legendary first-person shooter franchise in the video game industry that has not had the entirety of its titles ever on PC at one time. This news also opens up the possibility of an esports scene developing for the franchise on the platform before the release of the newest entry in the franchise in Infinite.
