Apex Legends Octane Gameplay Shown Off by Dr DisRespect

Tuesday, March 19th is likely the biggest day in the young life of the popular battle royale title of Apex Legends following its official reveal and release. The reason for this is the release of the Season 1: Wild Frontier update for Apex Legends that took place on March 19th at 10 AM PST. Bringing a brand new character called Octane to the game's roster, the Season 1: Wild Frontier update has been highly anticipated for weeks. Now, players can experience the speed-filled gameplay that Octane offers to those who think they can handle the adrenaline junkie. One of these players was Twitch star Guy "Dr DisRespect" Beahm who showed off gameplay of the new character's abilities earlier today. 

Apex Legends Octane Gameplay

Octane brings three different gameplay abilities to the world of Apex Legends. These gameplay abilities of Octane allow players to move faster, heal over time, and launch themselves great distances with a jump pad ultimate. You can find all of the Octane gameplay abilities in Apex Legends below.

• Stim (Tactical Ability) - Move 30% faster for six seconds. Costs health to use.
• Swift Mend (Passive Ability) - Automatically restores health over time.
• Launch Pad (Ultimate Ability) - Deploy a jump pad that catapults teammates through the air.

The combination of these abilities that Octane has at his disposal was put on display in a gameplay clip that occurred on the Twitch stream of Dr DisRespect where he and his teammates found themselves in a fight. 

While the end result of the battle did not go the way of Dr DisRespect, the clip above shows off the high mobility gameplay that the Apex Legends adrenaline junkie can provide with his abilities. Players who enjoy moving fast are sure to enjoy using the newest character to be added to the battle royale game. 

The developers of Apex Legends also released a trailer for the Season 1: Wild Frontier update that shows off some scripted cinematic action of Octane in an exciting display of the unique character. 

Offering a set of mobility abilities that have not been seen in Apex Legends yet, the new character of Octane is ready to help players achieve some exciting gameplay feats on their quest for victories and high elimination counts.
