While the official announcement of the new LTM in the in-game news tab only stated that the game mode would be "coming soon", it is expected that the new piece of content will be making its way onto the live servers of the battle royale game in this week's content update.

According to the official description of the new game mode that will soon be making its debut in Epic Games' title, players will need to "get to high ground or build above the lava that is overtaking the island." The island's molten magma is an environmental aspect of the title that was added into the game with the start of Season 8 in addition to a variety of other major map changes.
