LI Joe Shows Over 20 Minutes of Samurai Shodown Gameplay

For fans of the upcoming Samurai Shodown game, "LI" Joe Ciaramelli has you covered. A member of the northeast FGC seemingly since day 1, Joe is known for organizing the incredible East Coast Throwdown tournament series, his reign of terror as a Mortal Kombat kingpin, and for his miraculous Evo 2016 run in Street Fighter V. Joe has also recently started a YouTube channel, where he (no surprise) posts gameplay videos of various single and multi-player games that he plays on his Twitch stream.

Recently, Joe has provided some awesome Samurai Shodown gameplay, showcasing what some of the characters can do when placed in the hands of someone who knows (vaguely) what they're doing. The game is still very much new, so don't expect too many crazy combos and the like, but these videos do provide great context to character move properties. The latter video is particularly interesting as it features Nobuyuki Kuroki and Yasuyuki Oda, two of the developers from the original Samurai Shodown and Art of Fighting games.

The interesting aspects of these videos for fighting game heads are the ranges of attacks, what moves can be combined into, and some potential matchup information that could be examined with greater detail once the game releases. For example, Earthquake's range may initially give players issues, but once they're able to capitalize on his slow recovery speed, they may be able to turn the tides in their favor. 

These videos aren't indicative of what the game will look like at a high level once it releases this June, but it certainly scratches the itch for fighting game fans and samurai enthusiasts alike.
