The favorite day for jokesters has arrived and that means that April Fools Day for the year of 2019 is officially here. With this day often being an opportunity for companies and organizations to bring attention to themselves by pulling a variety of pranks, many players believed that Epic Games would be pulling a massive prank in its popular battle royale title of Fortnite for April Fools 2019. However, the Fortnite community has yet to discover anything resembling a prank or multiple pranks for April Fools 2019.
What Did Fortnite Do for April Fools 2019 Pranks?
At the time of this writing, Epic Games looks to have not gone through with pulling an April Fools 2019 prank or multiple pranks on Fortnite community. Last year saw Epic Games toy with the design of the impulse grenades and Boogie Bombs that led to plenty of hilarious videos from players that circulated throughout social media. However, this year has seen players take to Twitter to question if there was any prank or set of pranks that took place today.
The disappointment of this lack of a wacky set of pranks was preceded by many players wishing that the controversial v8.20 patch from last week that removed the highly popular health and material siphon mechanic from Fortnite was the ultimate prank by Epic Games in their hope that these features would be making a return on Monday.

Unfortunately, it currently looks as though the very unpopular changes made in the v8.20 content update for Fortnite was not an April Fools 2019 prank, and they will be sticking around for the foreseeable future. Due to the possibility that Epic Games will pull some pranks on players later on in the day, we will update this article with any new information regarding what Epic Games did for Fortnite April Fools 2019.
