Alex Valle's Let's Learn Fighting Games Series Is Must-Watch

A longtime FGC regular has put together one of the most helpful fighting game resources available. Earlier this week, Alex Valle hosted a series of 7 videos uploaded to the levelupseries YouTube channel chock-full of information on how to get started with the current crop of fighting games. It's called Let's Learn Fighting Games and it's awesome compendium for newcomers and oldhands alike.

Each video runs anywhere from 40 minutes to over an hour and breaks down the key components of what a successful player looks like in each game. Valle is joined by high-level players of each game to provide even more insight into each title. So far, Valle and company have taken deep dives into the following titles:

• Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid
• Dragon Ball FighterZ
• Under Night In-Birth
• Dead or Alive 6
• Tekken 7
• Street Fighter V
• SoulCalibur VI

To see all of these, check out the Let's Learn Fighting Games playlist.

Who is Alex Valle?

For many FGC veterans, that might seem like a nonsensical question - but there are many of you who might not know who Alex Valle was as a competitor and may only know him from Wednesday Night Fights or his Twitch channel. Valle was among the original FGC top dogs and was a key player in the rise of the SoCal fighting game scene. He was primarily known as an incredible Ryu player in Street Fighter games but his skills transcend the 2D classic - he has also captured championships in Tekken and Virtua Fighter series games. One of Valle's shining moments was this epic set against Daigo Umehara in Street Fighter Alpha 3.

This exchange proved that Valle, and Americans in general, could be just as skilled at fighting games as Japanese players. If you want to brush up your game or learn the specifics of a new fighter, Alex Valle is a go-to guru of the craft with plenty of experience, friends, and resources to back it up. We're happy to see something like the Let's Learn Fighting Games series invite more players into the scene.
