Chaos Rises in EU During Rainbow Six Pro League Week 12
By Wyatt Fossett ·
Things across the pond are looking to heat up with only a few more weeks of regular season action yet to be played.

Week 12 of the European Rainbow Six Pro league didn’t bring a whole ton of action in the standings, but it did provide some evidence for some major swings in comparison to our previous week's R6 EU Power Rankings.
Holding onto the 2nd Place spot with their finger-tips, the LeStream Esport squad failed to collect any further points in the standings after a rough defeat against Chaos who are now less than a game behind them for that last ticket to Milan.
Things are getting spicy in EU R6 and we’ve only got two more weeks of play days left before the standings get etched in stone. Who will come out on top? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
1st - The leaders of the pack are looking mighty pliable in the last few weeks of the European Rainbow Six Pro League. Hopefully, it’s not still a trend when it comes time for them to play their most meaningful games come time for Milan in a month. On Friday, Team Empire earned a single point in a tie-game on Border against one of the strongest non-playoff contending teams. It’s not a good sign for the Empire faithful that they couldn’t easily earn a trio of standings points this week. Or maybe it’s all about how great G2 Esports looked.
2nd - Speaking of G2 Esports, how good does this Rainbow Six squad look right now? G2 as an entire Esports organization is doing big things right now. To think that they are in 5th place, but they are only two games back of making it to Milan for the global playoff tournament. Even with their low 4 wins, It’s clear week in and week out that there is a lot of potential on this G2 Esports team that is just waiting to burst out. If it doesn’t happen this season, definitely be on the lookout for them to pop-off next season.
3rd - This week LeStream Esport saw their three-game winning streak come to a brutal end at the hands of Chaos. On paper, they are still a better team then their opponents, but they walked away looking like a challenger team at best. Currently, LeStream is still in a playoff spot, but if they continue playing like they did on Friday against Chaos, that spot it’s going to be theirs come the end of April. If the trend continues, they will fall further down the power rankings come this time next week.
4th - What can be said about this brilliant Chaos team. They have to be the most exciting team in Pro League Rainbow Six right now. Either they’re playing like they are on fire, or they are playing like they have cellophane wrapped around their mice. It’s a coin toss for Chaos, but it makes for entertaining Rainbow Six regardless of which side the coin lands on. If you’re going to tune in to one team every week, it should probably be Chaos at this point. With the embarrassing demolition of LeStream this week, Chaos is now only two points behind them.
5th - There aren’t many teams in competitive gaming today that make as many big statements in games like Penta Sports does. This past week, they tore apart a Team Secret that looked sort of formidable last week. Some might chalk it up to a free win, but that’s precisely when most teams would play a little laid-back. Not Penta. They took it to Team Secret on Coastline to end the play day for the European region, and they may be on the rise for the rest of the season yet. Next week they play Mouz before facing a sad looking LeStream in the final play day.
6th - Last week MouseSports was ranked in the 7th spot, but they showed up huge in a staggering stomp of Natus Vincere in Week 12. Thanks to an extremely soggy looking performance from Team Secret, who deservedly dropped to the bottom of our power rankings, Mouz hops up to the 6th spot. In Week 13 Mouz has a chance to play spoiler to Penta Sports playoff hopes, but the chances are this destruction of NaVi will be their last win of the season.
7th - Normally when it comes to the bottom of the standings, there isn’t a whole lot of room for moving things around in the power rankings. However, when it comes to the how badly Secret lost to Penta in Week 12, there’s just no justification in keeping Natus Vincere at the bottom of the pack. NaVi, in their game against MouseSports at least put up a little bit of a fight and took three rounds off of their opponents. This team destined for relegations could easily score at least three more points next week as they play the very Team Secret we’ve been talking about.
8th - Let’s not beat around the bush. Team Secret took a pretty savage beating this week against a rising (but still mid-tier) team in Penta Sports. It wasn’t close for a second, and Team Secret only managed to grab a single round off of the 4th place Penta. In the weeks to come, Secret aren’t likely to get any points, which means they will most likely finish the season in 7th or 8th. It may be time to make a stand and prove with some small chance that Team Secret can still play at this level.
