Washington Justice Acquire Sleepy from SF Shock

As they continue to struggle through their inaugural season in the Overwatch League the Washington Justice have shored-up another talent for their support needs.

Washington Justice Acquire Sleepy from SF Shock

It’s been a pretty rough year for the Washington Justice in 2019 so far, but the team is continuing to look towards a brighter future in commitment to building a bigger and better team. On Friday, April 19th, the Washington Justice managed to acquire another talented flex-support in Nikola “Sleepy” Andrews from the powerful-looking San Francisco Shock.

With star support ArK also joining the team recently -- coming over from the once-undefeated New York Excelsior -- the Washington Justice seem to think the weakest section of their line-up continues to be support.

The Justice line-up now has Fahzix, Gido, Hyeonu, ArK, and Sleepy on paper, all of which are capable of playing in big mainstage matches.

“It's always tough saying goodbye to a family member, but ultimately we know that Sleepy deserves a spot on the Overwatch League stage.” said the SF Shock on social media.

Will Sleepy crack this thick roster of starting support potential for the Washington Justice? At 1W - 11L on the year so far, and losing their Assistant General Manager Kate Mitchell, the Justice is truly a team that needs to shake a whole lot up in order to maintain relevance in a league they are only just entering.

Sleepy, who has been a part of the SF Shock roster since their inception, comes over with little actual stage time for the squad. This is represented in the Shock’s farewell message, as they think he truly deserves to play on the Blizzard Arena stage but could not find a way to squeak him into their starting line-up due to their extreme depth of talent.

The newest member of the Justice would make his mainstage debut immediately after being acquired by the team, as Sleepy took Gido’s spot on the starting line-up for Friday, April the 19th against the LA Valiant.

While Sleepy looked rather decent in his debut for the Washington squad, they would be only the second team in the league to lose to the also struggling Valiant.

Hopefully, the continual adventure towards building a competitive team for the Overwatch League is greatly helped with the addition of Sleepy for the Justice. We can’t wait to see where this team goes. One thing we do know is that Washington has a bunch of extra support players to trade for potentially shoring up stronger tank or dps players.
