Shroud Contemplates Competing in the Fortnite World Cup

Michael "shroud" Grzesiek is known as one the most popular streamers on the platform of Twitch, as the former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) player routinely pulls in tens of thousands of viewers to each of his streams thanks to his extremely high skill level when it comes to first-person shooter and battle royale titles. Having an extensive past competing at the highest levels of esports, many fans of shroud were excited to hear discuss the streamer contemplate competing in the highly lucrative Fortnite World Cup tournament that is currently taking place.

Fortnite World Cup to see shroud?

During a recent Twitch stream, shroud was discussing with a viewer the large amount of viewers that Ninja had when he was recently competing in the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers and explained how he would enjoy competing in the event. However, shroud ended his remarks with a not so positive outlook on his participation in future World Cup qualifiers.

"Ninja has 144K viewers right now? Ya, he is doing that World Cup sh*t. That's the only reason I want to play Fortnite," said shroud. "This sh*t could be kinda cool to compete in or whatever. But, like at the end of the day it's Fortnite, and it's a bad game so. Well, it's not bad. It's just not for me."

While shroud has never put a strong focus on Fortnite when it comes to his Twitch channel, the former professional CS:GO player has shown on the few occasions that he has streamed Fortnite that he certainly has the talent to become a very good player if he played a good amount. This is why the prospect of shroud competing in the World Cup qualifiers would certainly draw a great deal of attention.

Unfortunately for those who were hoping to see shroud compete in the Week 3 Fortnite World Cup qualifiers, it does not look very promising that they will be seeing the high-profile Twitch personality competing in the major event any time soon.
