New Star-Lord Skin Set and Dance-Off Emote in Fortnite
By Wyatt Fossett ·
The Avengers Endgame event in Fortnite just got even better content to go with it. It looks like players will be able to pick up a Starlord skin and emote soon.

Luckily for fans of Fortnite and Marvel aficionados, the crossover event with Marvel Studios to celebrate the launch of Avengers: Endgame didn’t end with the single skin and game mode. Today, in a tweet on the Fortnite account, Epic Games revealed that Star-Lord himself will be added to the game via a skin and a call-back emote.
Time for a dance off, bro.

The Guardians of the Galaxy set includes the Star-Lord (a mix between the recent comic and Marvel Studio’s movie looks), a Milano (Quill’s ship) Glider, a jet-pack back flair that has a plush Groot, and a Guardian Axe in the style of the Milano ship.
Also in the launch is the Dance-Off Emote that recreates the iconic scene near the end of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie where Star-Lord himself challenges Ronan the Accuser to a dance-off. Quill does this to distract the big baddie. The hilarious scene is a definitive moment in the Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Studios history.
As Avengers: Endgame went to great lengths to truly pay homage to the stories we’ve loved over the past 10+ years, it's a great move by Fornite to include this set in their recent Avengers in-game event. Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy set join the Black Widow set that was launched alongside the crossover.
The Guardians of the Galaxy set and emote are in the Fortnite shop today.

The “Whatever It Takes” Fortnite crossover with Marvel and the Avengers has a mode where some players join Thanos and his army, with the goal of slaying the Avengers and collecting the Infinity Stones. All the while, other players join as normal Fortnite combatants, that can find and equip Avengers weapons from the cinematic universe to stop Thanos and his army.
The overall impression of the new in-game mode is poor, and most players have moved on and back over to the standard Fortnite modes after just a short amount of time. Even Ninja was unimpressed with the crossover event. Saying that it’s just not as much as he was hoping for, or expecting.
You can suit-up like the legendary outlaw Star-Lord beginning today in Fortnite, and keep all of the aesthetic items long after the Avengers: Endgame event ends.
