As with previous in-game events, it would not be surprising to see Epic Games begin the volcano event in Fortnite without any kind of official announcement and inform players of the event's beginning with a mysterious amount of seismic activity caused by the map's large structure.
With the end of Season 8 approaching closer every single day, it is highly likely that Epic Games is gearing up to make some significant changes to the map of Fortnite and today's activity could be the first sign of what will cause some of these changes in the near future. There is also a possibility that the screen shaking and volcano event could be tied to the mysterious Rune event that will surely be a highlight to the end of Season 8.
