To celebrate and reward the best Rainbow Six Pro players in the Australian and New Zealand regions, the Six Masters will return for 2019.

Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that Rainbow Six Esports would be getting another Masters, this time taking Rainbow Six competitive to “new heights” in Australia and New Zealand.

We’re only a few weeks away from the culmination of this year’s Season IX Rainbow Six Pro League -- where all of the region's top teams will compete for world championship glory in Milan, Italy -- and Ubisoft is doing even more to bolster the Esports scene around their ever-evolving game.

“We could not be more excited to bring the Six Masters to the Melbourne Esports Open in 2019. Following the tremendous success of last year’s event, our goal this year is to create something even bigger and better for our passionate community.” said Sebastian Østfeldt, Esports Business Analyst at Ubisoft Australia.

Who’s Invited?

There are more than a handful of extremely talented teams throughout the Australian and New Zealand regions, and the six teams from the ANZ regions will get direct invites to the Rainbox Six Masters 2019.

The tournament will feature twelve teams in total. The six teams not from the ANZ Region of the Pro League will earn their tickets through an open qualifier tournament.

Open Qualifiers

In order to determine the six teams from the open qualifiers that will play the six ANZ Region squads, tournaments will be held online through ESL. These open qualifiers will take place from May 12th until June 2nd.

Australian and New Zealand residents that are 15-years of age or older can apply with teams through the ESL portal.

The Finals

Once the Rainbow Six Masters 2019 Group Stage is through, the top four teams from each of the two groups will get invited to the Grand Finals tournament.

The Masters Finals will take place during and at the Melbourne Esports Open which kicks-off on Saturday, August 31st. The Rainbow Six Masters 2019 will be held in the Margaret Court Arena.

Currently, the prize pool and standings information have yet to be disclosed, however, tickets have officially been released for the Melbourne Esports Open 2019.

We will have more information about the Six Masters 2019 as it is released.
