With the new questline having just gone live, the community for the looter-shooter game has not yet been able to get too far in finding out everything there is to know about the new exotic weapon questline. However, community members have discovered that you will need to acquire the Fallen Transponder device in order to be able to embark on the Destiny 2 Outbreak Prime quest.
You will be able to find this Fallen Transponder device by embarking on the heroic adventure mission on Titan where you will need to make your way to the left room that will be found after you have eliminated the mission's Shrieker enemy. From here, players will need to head to the right side of this room, and the Fallen Transponder device will be found on a machine.
Destiny 2 players will then see that the Fallen Transponder has six nodes on it that you will have to find in order to progress to the next step of the Outbreak prime quest. One node has been discovered to be located in an EDZ Lost Sector called the Drain. However, the locations of the other Fallen Transponder nodes have not yet been discovered.
