Fortnite Pump Shotgun Has Been Vaulted, Combat Shotgun Added

Epic Games has vaulted the pump shotgun and has added the new combat shotgun in its place for Season 9 of Fortnite Battle Royale.
Thursday, May 9th has arrived, and it has brought the 9.00 update that has officially introduced Season 9 to Fortnite Battle Royale. As with any new period of content, Epic Games has made a variety of major changes to Fortnite with the Season 9 9.00 update patch notes. However, the community was likely not expecting to see Epic Games announce that it had vaulted the pump shotgun and added a new combat version of the weapon to the battle royale title.
Fortnite Pump Vaulted and Combat Shotgun Added
The news of the pump shotgun being vaulted and the addition of the weapon's new combat counterpart was discovered by the Fortnite community when Epic Games officially revealed the 9.00 update patch notes during the server downtime for the implementation of Season 9.
While there are sure to be plenty of players who will be very unhappy to see that the pump shotgun has been vaulted, the combat version of the close range weapon could prove to be a very suitable replacement with its faster fire rate, as the combat version is a semi0automatic weapon.

There were a whole array of weapons that were vaulted thanks to the 9.00 update patch notes for Season 9 of Fortnite. However, these weapons being vaulted pales in comparison to the loss of the pump shotgun considering that the newly vaulted weapon has been a mainstay of Fortnite ever since its battle royale game mode was first released. With this in mind, players will be looking to see if the combat version of the weapon will be able to serve as well as the pump in their battles for this new period of content.
