HoneyBee Disqualified From Summit of Time After Altercation
By Wyatt Fossett ·
In his first opportunity to play Mortal Kombat 11 at a premier event, BeastCoast's HoneyBee has been disqualified from the Summit of Time.

Somewhere off-stream an “altercation” broke out between Tim “HoneyBee” Commandeur and another Mortal Kombat player. Though details were not given, the Summit of Time organizers announced that HoneyBee would be disqualified from the tournament for violating their player conduct rules and regulations.
Having had a rough few years -- with a highest finish being 3rd Place -- HoneyBee entered one of the first premier events for the newly released Mortal Kombat 11 with high hopes. Unfortunately for the Fighting Game player, and his team BeastCoast, the disqualification means that HoneyBee will not be allowed to participate in the playoffs. His first-round opponent will be granted a bye to the second round.
Yesterday, Honeybee violated our player code of conduct and unfortunately, due to the nature of the incident, we have disqualified him from the tournament. As a result, his first round opponent will receive a bye.

Back in 2017, HoneyBee had an amazing run at EVO Championship playing Injustice 2, making it all the way to the Grand Finals just two months after winning Toryuken 6. He would unfortunately fall to Dragon, and kick-start a pretty underwhelming few years of performances.
The launch of Mortal Kombat 11 could have been a fresh start for the competitive gamer, but this altercation would end his inaugural trial.
On social media, HoneyBee reached out to his fans to apologize. “I made a mistake,” HoneyBee lead with. “I got into an altercation with another player. It was my fault, and I take full responsibility for my actions.”
“I understand this was necessary. I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to all my fans, the rest of the players at the event, Summit / BTS and beastcoast,” added HoneyBee. “I promise to learn from this mistake and that it won't happen again.”
An hour or so after publishing his statement, HoneyBee would add clarification regarding his relationship with the player (unnamed) post-altercation.
One thing I want to add to this is just that myself and the other player are 100% cool. I apologized to him personally and there is no ill will/hard feelings etc and if it was up to him I would not have been DQd.

It’s a tough and seemingly deserved end to the beginning of a tale that may not be over just yet. Here’s to hoping that HoneyBee can bounce back from this mistake and make a statement in the Mortal Kombat 11 community in the months to come.
We will continue to follow this story as it develops.
