While most Overwatch events celebrate a particular time of the year or holiday, the Overwatch Anniversary event has always been simply about celebrating the history of Overwatch, in both a fictional sense and in terms of the game.
The Anniversary event this year will run from May 21st until June 10th.
Last year’s Overwatch Anniversary event brought with it almost a dozen new in-game character skins, and a Free-for-all mode. Heading into the third year of the event, we can assume that newer heroes like Ashe and Baptiste may get Anniversary Skins, while older heroes like Winston and Mercy may finally get theirs.
No information on the event has been given just yet, other than the dates so we will continue to update the story on the Overwatch Anniversary event as it is revealed.
For now, we can all just bask in the outstanding Stage 2 Finals results and await more details about the event.
