Owner FaZe Banks Responds on Twitter to Tfue Suing FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan is one of the most popular esports organizations in the world and routinely has the attention of millions of individuals turned towards it on a regular basis for their esports teams, players, and content creators enjoying success. However, this is not the reason why the esports world currently has their attention on FaZe Clan, as the organization's star Fortnite Battle Royale player, high-profile Twitch streamer, and well-known YouTuber Turner "Tfue" Tenney has sued FaZe Clan over what he states is an "oppressive" contract between the two parties. This situation led to Ricky "Banks" Banks, an Owner of the esports organization, to address these accusations from Tfue on Twitter in a response that fans were anxiously awaiting to hear from Banks regarding Tfue.

FaZe Banks Twitter Responds to Tfue Lawsuit

Taking to his official Twitter account, Banks explained that the situation involving the content creator's lawsuit against the organization is "unbelievable" and that the organization has never taken 80% of any prize money that Tfue has won.

"Yo this whole thing with Tfue is pretty unbelievable," said FaZe Banks on Twitter. "The first thing I'd like to say is we do NOT and have never taken 80% of anyones prize money. Not sure where that came from, but a contract like that has NEVER existed. We've collected $0 from Turners prize money. ZERO."

However, the Twitter response by Banks left many members of the community confused regarding the statement by Banks concerning prize money in his public Twitter post, as Tfue had alleged that the organization had taken 80% of his earnings from branded videos that are posted on his Twitch, YouTube, and various social media accounts. The lawsuit from Tfue against FaZe Clan also states that the star Fortnite player only gets to keep half of his earnings from appearances and touring opportunities.

The Owner went on to discuss the situation further in following Twitter posts and address the various allegations that were made by the player against the organization in his lawsuit.

And to have all this dropped on my head, without any warning. It blows my mind. I still don’t fully believe Turner knows understands what these claims are. I believe his team put this in front of him and encouraged him to follow through. I’m heartbroken homies ?

Like I got Code Tfue tattooed on my body. Imagine how fucking stupid I feel right now.

— FaZe Banks (@Banks) May 20, 2019

Honestly fuck being professional. This is so beyond numbers and contracts. Homie I called you my family @TTfue and not only did I get blindsided but you can’t return a call? I’m fucking crushed dog

What was that about 80%? pic.twitter.com/dENnQp66sC

At the end of the day this is all about money. More and more and more money. Clearly Tfue felt he deserved millions of dollars in salary in the addition to all the millions he earns on his platforms. He was unhappy and this was his attempt at getting out of the contract.

To stoop as low as he did, or his team.. whoever's responsible for this. It's disgusting. Lies on lies on lies. I'm sorry for being "unprofessional" but I'm fucking hurting right now.

I'm getting off Twitter for a minute. I've said all I need to say. As crazy as it might sound I still fucking love you dude @TTfue and I wish you nothing but the best. A phone call would be appreciated.

OK LAST TWEET - To clarify Turners contract does outline splits in prizes, ad revenue, stuff like that. But again we've collected absolutely none of it with no plans to and that was very clear to him. We have collected a total of $60,000 from 300k in brand deals (20%). That's it

— FaZe Banks (@Banks) May 20, 2019

Sorry I'm done, I just had to tweet the actual numbers. Tfue makes millions and millions monthly and we have earned $60k from our relationship with him IN TOTAL. It's the most important part I need to be clear about.

With the Twitter statement by Banks not having looked to help clear up the situation involving Tfue suing FaZe Clan over his current contract, this battle between two of the esports industry's biggest names is likely just getting started.
