The situation involving Tfue suing FaZe Clan over his current contract has opened the door for YouTuber KEEMSTAR to have his fan-favorite Friday Fortnite tournament make a return.

KEEMSTAR Announces Return of Friday Fortnite Tournament

Monday, May 20th saw Fortnite Battle Royale Twitch and YouTube star Turner "Tfue" Tenney sue his organization of FaZe Clan over his current contract with the organization where the main complaint from Tfue's lawsuit focused on FaZe Clan taking 80% of the earnings the popular gaming personality made from branded deals. However, FaZe Clan issued a statement explaining that it had only ever collected a total of $60,000 from their partnership with Tfue. This reported $60,000 has now led the way for popular YouTuber Daniel "KEEMSTAR" Keem to bring back his fan-favorite Friday Fortnite Tournament with a donation of $60,000 from FaZe Clan.

Friday Fortnite Tournament Returns

The return of the Friday Fortnite tournament began when KEEMSTAR posted a Tweet regarding the situation stating that he would work to have the popular battle royale event make a return for three weeks if FaZe Clan donated the $60,000 they collected from Tfue. Ricky "Banks" Banks, an Owner of the popular esports organization, responded to the proposal from KEEMSTAR stating that the organization would sponsor the event with the reported $60,000 it had made from Tfue's contract.

You have a dea. FaZe Clan will sponsor the event for $60,000 so we can officially be at $0 total money earned from Tfue. I don't want his money, never fucking did. This isn't a joke, run it. https://t.co/bpgCE947qS

KEEMSTAR stated that the first of these Friday Fortnite events would take place on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. While the situation of Tfue filing a lawsuit against FaZe Clan has been a source of negative news in the esports industry to begin this week, it has actually opened up the door for KEEMSTAR to kickstart the return of one of the most popular grassroots esports tournament series in Friday Fortnite for a small shine of positivity regarding the high-profile situation.
