PUBG Mobile Announces Crossover Event With Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Recently, Fortnite announced that they’d be doing a crossover promotion with Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan company. How do you compete with a promotion of that magnitude if you’re the competition? By tapping into another world-renowned figure - Godzilla. In honor of the upcoming movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, PUBG Mobile is getting its own crossover event featuring the world’s favorite kaiju, and players will be able to get new skins and make awesome in-game discoveries based on the upcoming film.

The PUBG Mobile Godzilla: King of the Monsters event was announced on May 22, 2019 via PUBG Mobile’s Twitter and YouTube channels. Leading up to the movie’s release at the end of May, players will be able to discover destructive marks left on the battlefield made by Godzilla, gather gear used to track the monster, and collect Godzilla: King of the Monsters themed cosmetics for their characters. This marks a heck of promotion for PUBG. Godzilla: King of the Monsters promises to be one of the best of the classic giant monster movie franchise with Godzilla fighting against a host of classic enemies, including Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. Though Godzilla has encountered these creatures before, seldom have fans ever seen all of these monsters in one film. With a kaiju battle royale set to go down, it’s appropriate that another battle royale like PUBG joins in on the fun. Though this event won’t last long, it’s always awesome to see more Godzilla inside and outside the movies.

The event doesn’t have a slated end date at the time of this writing, but it is available now in PUBG Mobile. Meanwhile, Godzilla: King of the Monsters is set to hit theaters on May 31, 2019 worldwide. If you’re a fan of either, don’t miss out!
