The Daily Deathmarks in Dauntless are a gatherable item tied to an event in this season of the Hunt Pass. Here's what they do and how to go about locating them.

Dauntless Daily Deathmarks - Where to Find Them & What They Do

With Dauntless having launched on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, players are getting to experience the robust world the free-to-play monster hunting co-op has to offer. We know you’re ready to get to the hunt, but before you get out there, there’s a good reason to have a look around and collect some goodies. We’re of course talking about the Daily Deathmarks.

What Are Daily Deathmarks

Dauntless’ Daily Deathmarks are, as implied, a daily collectible. They’re tied directly to the current season of Dauntless and specifically the Hidden Blades shinobi event. Every day, there are ten Daily Deathmarks scattered around the player hub of Ramsgate. You’ll be able to spot them pretty easily as shimmery red kunai with flags hanging from them, pinned into walls and posts.

The location of the Deathmarks changes every day. Often they’ll be in alleyways, archways, and on the sides of buildings. One time we saw a Deathmark in the archway entrance where you spawn when you first log in to Dauntless. We’ve also see them on rooftops on occasion, but they’re almost always pretty easy to track down and pluck. Just look high and low in the main area of Ramsgate until you collect all ten.

Why Collect Daily Deathmarks?

The purpose of collecting Daily Deathmarks ties directly into the Hunt Pass. The Hunt Pass is a system in Dauntless that rewards you with special items, cosmetics, dyes, and gear for each level you achieve. Often, Hunt Pass levels are achieved through special challenges such as hunting specific Behemoths, using certain weapons, gathering items in the Shattered Isles, and more, but the Deathmarks offer an easy experience boost of 50 exp towards your next Hunt Pass rank if you collect all ten. That makes for half of a Hunt Pass level easily.

There’s time between hunts as you and your party figure out what challenge to pursue next. Be sure to collect your Daily Deathmarks so you can be rewarded with Hunt Pass goodies!

Is Dauntless offering enough rewards? More than a few players think so. The game has achieved over 4 million players since its launch on consoles.
