Xbox Game Pass is Coming to PC
By Wyatt Fossett ·
Today, Microsoft and Xbox teased that the rather successful Xbox Game Pass is coming to PC and it's probably going to be great.

Two years ago Microsoft and Xbox released their service Xbox Game Pass to allow unlimited access to a select library of games for simply a monthly subscription. Today, the team announced that the service will finally be coming to PC …. Soon?
The announcement made by Xbox included the tease that more information will be announced at the Xbox E3 2019 Press Conference, which is slated for June 9th.
When Xbox Game Pass was released, it took a bit of time for the library to mean anything. It wasn’t until the next year, upon the release of Sea of Thieves, that the service became something almost most Xbox users subscribe to.
Since then, Microsoft has launched Forza Horizon 4, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, State of Decay 2, the Halo Franchise, and many more must-play titles to the list. Now, it’s almost a must for Xbox gamers.
The launch of the service on PC changes the landscape a bit for those same ecosystem users. In the past, Xbox has pushed a “play anywhere” title enhancement which would allow you to download specific games on both console and PC. Whereas now, those that subscribe to Xbox Game Pass will (most-likely) allow paid subs to access to the entire Game Pass library on their PC as well as their Xbox.
“Xbox Game Pass for PC will give players unlimited access to a curated library of over 100 high-quality PC games on Windows 10, from well-known PC game developers and publishers such as Bethesda, Deep Silver, Devolver Digital, Paradox Interactive, SEGA, and more,” reads the Xbox press release. “And just as we committed on the console, it is our intent to include new games from Xbox Game Studios in Xbox Game Pass for PC the same day as their global release, including titles from newly acquired studios like Obsidian and inXile.”
Importantly, the wording in the press release from today dispels any worry that the Xbox Game Pass on PC will use an emulator -- or Xbox’s truly underwhelming xbox streaming capabilities -- rather it will only include actual PC games.
We’re looking forward to hearing more about the service (also rumored to be coming to the Nintendo Switch) at the Xbox Press Conference at E3 in just a few days.
Which PC games would you love to see Microsoft add to the PC Game Pass when or after it launches?
