Destiny 2 Datamine Leaks Shadowkeep Year 3 Expansion
By Nicholas Barth ·
A recent Destiny 2 datamine had major leaks that focused on an unannounced Shadowkeep Year 3 expansion.
Tuesday, May 4th has been a very eventful day for the popular title of Destiny 2 with the start of a period of new content called the Season of Opulence that has brought a brand new Crown of Sorrow Raid activity to the looter-shooter game. However, it looks as though the biggest news of today for Destiny 2 does not have to do with the Season of Opulence or the Crown of Sorrow Raid, as a datamine effort by the community has led to major leaks that look to have provided a leak of a new Year 3 expansion for the game called Shadowkeep.

The results of the new PC datamine leaks were posted onto ResetEra for the community to see, and the efforts showed off an image detailing that the Year 3 expansion for Destiny 2 will be called Shadowkeep and will focus on players making a return to Moon.
You can find the image detailing the currently unannounced Shadowkeep Year 3 expansion that was one of the leaks from a major PC datamine of Destiny 2 below.
While leaks of this nature should not be considered confirmed until an official announcement is made by the developers of the title, the timing for this particular datamine leak for Destiny 2 looks to add credibility to the Shadowkeep Year 3 expansion leak. The reasoning for this is that Bungie had announced on May 30th that it would be revealing the next chapter of the looter-shooter game on Thursday, June 6th. With this Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Year 3 expansion leak coming from a datamine just two days before Bungie's official reveal, it looks as though the community was possibly able to discover the recently added files for the Shadowkeep Year 3 expansion before they were supposed to.
June 6th will be when the Destiny 2 community learns what adventure awaits them in the future for the first-person shooter title. However, thanks to this new datamine it is highly likely that players have already discovered this information by the way of leaks. What are your thoughts about the Shadowkeep Year 3 expansion leak?
