Overwatch League Player Fissure Considering a Break from Competing
By Nicholas Barth ·
Seoul Dynasty player Fissure recently explained why he is contemplating taking a break from competing in the Overwatch League.

ChanHyoeng "Fissure" Baek has been known as one of the most talented tank players in the Overwatch League throughout his career. However, it looks as though Fissure could soon be hanging up his mouse and keyboard for a little bit in the near future, as the Seoul Dynasty player recently revealed that he is currently thinking about taking a break from competing in the Overwatch League.
According to a report by DBLTAP, Fissure had mentioned during a recent stream that he has begun to lose passion for competing in the Overwatch League and that he wishes to have some time to gather his thoughts regarding his career as a professional video game player.

Fissure went on to state in a follow up twitlonger that he could take a break in Stage 3 of Season 2 for the Overwatch League and return to compete in Stage 4 with the Seoul Dynasty. However, Fissure also mentioned that he could take a complete break from competing in the Overwatch League or not take a break at all and play with the Seoul Dynasty in Stage 3.
The departure of Fissure from competing in the esports scene for Blizzard Entertainment's popular first-person shooter title would be one of the latest of situations where multiple of the league's players have decided to retire or take a break from competing in order to deal with issues of burnout. These burnout incidents have led to a major discussion in the community regarding the amount of matches and practice players are required to play throughout an Overwatch League season and if it is too much to be sustainable for the long term.
Fissure had previously competed for the London Spitfire and the Los Angeles Gladiators before becoming a member of the Seoul Dynasty for Season 2 of the Overwatch League.
