The sudden death has shocked the Esports world after his family posted on his social media breaking the news and asking for privacy.
News broke on Twitter just moments ago that legendary StarCraft 2 and esports personality Geoff “iNcontroL” Robinson passed away on Saturday after contracting an undisclosed illness.
Respectfully, the family did not post many details on his social media account, merely asking for respect in Robinson’s privacy, as well as for those looking to honor his memory to donate to the So Cal Bulldog Rescue.
With immense grief, we announce Geoff’s unexpected passing due to sudden illness Saturday. We ask privacy as his family works to understand what happened and make arrangements. To honor Geoff or offer comfort to his family, we suggest donations to @SoCalBulldog, which he loved.

I saw him in person last year at BlizzCon, and as I was starstruck, I regretfully didn't introduce myself.
Rest in peace, Geoff. A true Starcraft legend. https://t.co/rclukaeglf
