By Nicholas Barth ·
Luminosity Gaming defeated OpTic Gaming to claim a Winners Bracket Final spot, while Team Kaliber will not have a chance to win a third major LAN event in a row.

With a shot at the Winners Bracket Finals on the line, Luminosity Gaming and OpTic Gaming were ready to bring their A game against each other for the five game series. OpTic made their way into the Winners Bracket semifinals with a 3-0 victory over Lightning Pandas, while Luminosity was able to secure their spot in the semifinals with a close 3-2 win over Mindfreak.
Luminosity was able to start the match strong with a 250-188 London Docks Hardpoint win to take a 1-0 lead. USS Texas Search and Destroy was up next and gave fans some exciting action, as the map went to round 11. Johnathan "John" Perez was able to pull off a clutch kill against OpTic's Seth "Scump" Abner to secure the 6-5 win for Luminosity. A hot start on London Docks Capture the Flag would see Luminsoity take a huge lead. While OpTic fought back from the 6-1 deficit, they would ultimately fall 4-7, which resulted in the 0-3 loss for them to Luminsoity.

A 7-4 victory on London Docks CTF, gives #LGCOD the clean 3-0 series win over @OpTicGaming to secure a spot in the Winner’s Finals of #CWLAtlanta!#GOLG #LGLOYAL pic.twitter.com/gyTAhfnmVF
Sam "Octane" Larew of Luminosity Gaming had this to say about his team's 3-0 sweep of OpTic Gaming. "We just came out and played our game. We got really good maps for us I think, and that really helped us in getting the shutout. Once we won the 5-3 comeback on Uss Texas, we knew that we had no chance of losing the series."
The win sends Luminosity to the Winners Bracket Finals where they will be facing Rise Nation for a spot in the CWL Atlanta Grand Finals, while OpTic will now be playing Red Reserve in round six of the Losers Bracket.

The two time LAN champions of Call of Duty: WWII, Team Kaliber, were looking to make a run through the Losers Bracket, but ran into a motivated Red Reserve team that would squash their dreams of three straight championships. Red Reserve would take the 1-0 lead in the match with a 250-237 win on Sainte Marie Du Mount Hardpoint. Team Kaliber would respond with a 6-2 Search and Destroy win on the next map to tie the series at 1-1. However, a 2-1 Capture the Flag win made possible by a 13 kill streak from Rhys "Rated" Price would give Red Reserve a 2-1 lead. Team Kaliber would fall in the fourth map of the series on Gibraltar Hardpoint to solidify their match loss.
Red Reserve will now be playing OpTic Gaming in round six of the Losers Bracket, while Team Kaliber is eliminated from CWL Atlanta and finishes with a top eight placement.
