Scoreboard Spotlight: DaLar Cleans Up on Pig Out & More!

Is it cold enough out there for you yet? Or maybe you're laughing at all this talk about the weather while chillin' at the beach? Either way, it's been another action-packed week at Twin Galaxies! The competition is REALLY heating up on Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, but between all of that speedrunning we have lots of score chasing and calorie maxing, too. For this week's edition of the Scoreboard Spotlight, it all starts off with a cool music-game collab followed up another collab between robots and pinball. Then, it's a sprint through a classic platformer before we battle a giant lizard, and then we cap it all off with a food eating contest like no other. Ready? Let's go!

Justin Emory – Deadmau5 - Meowingtons Revenge (Atari 2600) – Points

Justin Emory was sold on the collab between Deadmau5 and Atari led that to high score adventure on the new Atari 7800 release Meowingtons. Instead of pesky chefs, Justin battled frisky felines in a volley of mayhem for a new record of 3,969,300 points on Intermediate settings.

Michael Sroka – Robot (PC) – 3 Balls – Points

Michael Sroka went toe-to-toe against HAL 2000's granddad on Zaccaria Pinball's classic table Robot. Peppering his game play with ramp-shots-aplenty and trips across Robot Bridge, Michael bypassed the Monolith and brought home a new TG record of 18,938,840 points.

Henrik Wiman – Nintendo World Championships NES Edition – Kong Crusher – Fastest Time

Henrik Wiman shifted into high gear on Nintendo World Championships NES Edition, dashing through girders, elevators, and rivets for a breezy Kong Crusher Challenge time of 1:18.330 to take first place on the TG leaderboard.

Houdini – Dragon's Lair (Arcade1Up) – Points

In January 2025, Houdini proved what's old can be made new again with a world record run on the Arcade1Up Dragon's Lair cabinet. Entering the fray as Dirk the Daring, Houdini vanquished the Lizard King along with Singe the Dragon for an retro-enchanted tally of 373,315 points.

DaLar – Pig Out (M.A.M.E.) – Calories

DaLar won the County Fair's Big Pig contest along with a big world record on Leland's 1990 arcade platformer Pig Out. To make it happen, he escaped from Al's Butcher Shop and then went on a food-eating rampage for 20 rounds before looping the game and basking in the applause of his fellow pigs with 336,445 calories, beating the previous record by 50k.

This covers our Scoreboard Spotlight for the week. As a reminder, these were just a few of exceptional records that were adjudicated and accepted recently. Every record that made it through verification and landed on our leaderboards has a well-deserved place in the Twin Galaxies gaming pantheon.

Keep scoring high, finishing fast, and game on!
