GO1 Defeats SonicFox in DBFZ Exhibition Match at Final Round 2018
By Nicholas Barth ·
The two legends met at Final Round 2018 and decided who was the king of Dragon Ball FighterZ.
In a battle of epic proportions, SonicFox battled GO1 in a first-to-10 DragonBall FighterZ exhibition match at Final Round 2018 to show the fighting game community who should be be considered the best at the latest Arc Systems Works 3v3 fighting game. The matchup came into being with SonicFox accepting a challenge from GO1, after the latter's Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament win at MixUpNight in Osaka, Japan where GO1 issued the challenge to SonicFox in front of the entire crowd. Today, the highly anticipated match commenced with GO1 walking away with the victory.
Utilizing Adult Gohan very well, GO1 was able to give SonicFox trouble throughout the match and was able to ultimately secure the 10-4 victory over one of the best players the fighting game community has to offer. We were able to catch up with SonicFox after the match and get his thoughts on what had just occurred.
"I essentially got outplayed, his Adult Gohan was too strong. I felt like if I killed his Adult Gohan it would have been fine, but I let him play him again," SonicFox explained as the main reason for his defeat to GO1.
SonicFox is not a player to learn nothing from a defeat and he believes that he will come back stronger from this loss. "I am definitely going to learn some of the gaps between Adult Gohan because apparently there are some things that are worth exploring, but I'll come back stronger. Don't worry."
"After Final Round, I plan on dropping Hit for Adult Gohan," SonicFox continued, "He was playing Adult Gohan the way I would have played Adult Gohan, mad suffocating pressure."
Even with the disappointing loss, SonicFox is determined to learn and improve his playstyle and stategies for the future of his competiitve Dragon Ball FighterZ career, while GO1 looks to have found a perfect character in Adult Gohan for his fast paced playstyle.
