Fortnite Is Back on the App Store Across the World

Fortnite has been reinstated on the Apple App Store worldwide after Epic Games' longtime legal fight against Apple's 30 % App Store tax, a battle that has now reached the U.S. Supreme Court and is prompting scrutiny from regulators in Japan, the EU and the UK. Epic's CEO Tim Sweeney said the move marks the beginning of the end of the Apple Tax and vowed to keep challenging Apple's restrictions on alternative stores and payment systems, though the game remains unavailable in Australia pending a court order.

PlayStation CEO Hermen Hulst told staff that, going forward, every PlayStation-studio single-player title will be exclusive to PlayStation consoles, confirming Bloomberg's earlier report that games such as Saros and Ghost of Yōtei will not see PC releases. Multiplayer releases-including Marathon and Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls-will continue to launch on other platforms like PC and Xbox. The shift marks a return to console-only single-player releases after several years of PC ports for titles such as Spider-Man 2 and God of War Ragnarök.
