Vulgus - A nice little Arcade shooter is coming to the Amiga via JOTD and team!
JOTD has released early footage of a Commodore Amiga AGA port of Capcom's 1984 arcade shooter Vulgus, the company's first video game. The port, built with a custom code converter that leverages a Z80-assembly reverse-engineering project by veteran coder Mark (tcdev), is already playable but still suffers from graphical glitches and sound problems. Despite these issues, the functional build demonstrates a rapid conversion process that should interest both arcade and Amiga enthusiasts.

One Year Later, Castlevania's Unofficial SNES Port Has Just Got A 16-Bit Makeover
A year after releasing his fan-made SNES port of the NES classic *Castlevania*, developer Rumbleminze has issued an updated build that adds a toggleable 16-bit graphics mode. The new version features a blonde Simon sprite matching his later appearances, plus more detailed backgrounds and enemies, while allowing players to switch between the original and enhanced visuals on the fly. The update builds on the original native SNES port released in July 2025 and continues the trend of fan-made NES titles being re-imagined for the Super Nintendo.

Super Mario 64 Is Now Running On The Panasonic 3DO & PS1
Author: Sebastian Santabarbara
Eyepatch Entertainment has created a proof-of-concept port of Super Mario 64 for the Panasonic 3DO, using assets from the game's decompilation and the console's cel-engine to render a 2-D version that mimics the original's 3-D look; a rough demo featuring Peach's Castle and Bob-omb Battlefield runs on real hardware (though without sound) and required extensive tricks to overcome the 3DO's limited fill-rate. The team is also developing a PS1 version that, while glitchy, includes music and cutscenes and more closely resembles the original game. Updates are posted on Eyepatch Entertainment's YouTube channel.
