Game Freak's new action-RPG *Beast of Reincarnation* launched on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S to a mixed response-Steam users gave it a Mixed rating from over 1,600 reviews and IGN scored it 6/10, citing bland story, repetitive combat and disappointing boss fights. The developer announced a patch to be released within seven days that will address camera distance, increase text size, improve story pacing, fix bugs and switch the default visual setting to Performance rather than Cinematic.

Marvel Rivals Planning Big Change In Update 9.5
Marvel Rivals' upcoming Season 9.5, launching on August 7, will include a major texture-compression overhaul that reduces the game's install size by roughly 40 GB on PC and about 15 GB on Xbox and PlayStation, without lowering visual quality. The update also adds the new Vanguard character Parker Robbins (The Hood) and continues NetEase's ongoing balance tweaks and anti-cheat actions, while hinting that a Nintendo Switch 2 port is in development.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will launch its full 1.0 version on September 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S (including Game Pass), Switch 2, and PC, shifting from the original's top-down pixel art to a 3D isometric view and adding new weapons, armor, a Bomb Path combat ability, expanded shop slots, cosmetics, and the story's conclusion. The game has been in PC Early Access since November 2023. To celebrate, the original Moonlighter is free on Steam from now until August 9.
