A fan team called APE is developing SFII: Ape Edition, a Street Fighter II remake for the Amiga 500 that runs on the Scorpion Engine and currently needs 512 KB of chip RAM plus 1 MB of additional RAM. The playable work-in-progress build already includes near-complete movesets for Chun-Li, Blanka and Zangief, with plans to add Ryu, dynamic frame-loading, improved shading and optimized AI. A downloadable .adf file is available for testing, and the developers aim to replicate arcade-level gameplay at 50 fps while balancing graphics, memory and performance constraints.

Boutique publisher 33 Games is issuing a new physical release of the cult 1993 SNES title *Utopia: The Creation of a Nation*, offering three limited editions - a 750-copy Collector's Edition (£59.99), a 250-copy Ultimate Archive Edition (£129.99) and a 3-copy Founder's Edition (£599.99) - each bundled with an authentic cartridge, custom packaging, manuals, a SNES mouse and assorted artwork and memorabilia, with shipments slated for November 2026. The project, described by the company as a preservation effort involving the game's original creators and artists, follows 33 Games' first retro release (the *Zool* Mega Drive edition) and aims to bring the previously obscure strategy game to both longtime fans and new collectors.
