DOOM Collection Is Officially Coming To Evercade This October

The DOOM Collection for Evercade-featuring the original DOOM, DOOM II and seven additional battle packs for a total of 180 levels-will launch on October 30, 2026 on a red, DOOM-themed cartridge with a reversible case cover. The set retails for $29.99 (£24.49) and is compatible with all Evercade and Super Pocket devices; pre-orders are now open through the Evercade website and Funstock in the U.S. (with UK/EU sites redirecting there).

Former Rare artist Kev Bayliss sat down at the Nottingham Video Game Expo to discuss the many unreleased titles he helped develop while working on Nintendo's 8-bit hardware. He mentioned several cancelled projects-including the 1955-themed racing game 55, the gymnastics title International Gymnastics, and Valley of the Kings-and explained that shifting console generations and tight development windows often doomed these games. Bayliss said he has no written list of the lost projects but hopes the interview will preserve the information for fans and historians.

Hyper Runner is a new sci-fi racing game for the Amiga AGA, developed by Raster Wizards, slated for a boxed release on 6 September 2026 (Jewel-case CD) and a digital launch on 6 October 2026 via Itch.io. Players select from five vehicles and twelve pilots, navigate a branching campaign of 15 stages (16 possible route combinations), manage a shrinking timer, and use limited-energy boosters and track power-ups to survive. The Big-Box edition can be pre-ordered through Dark Age Software, while the standard edition will also be sold at Passione Amiga Day 2026.
