Fortnite's Chapter 7, Season 4 Override launches on August 20 and centers on a video-game-crossover theme, featuring playable skins and map elements from Sonic the Hedgehog (including Green Hill Zone), Mega Man, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Persona 5's Joker, Pac-Man, Kingdom Hearts' Sora, and others, with returning skins such as Master Chief, Geralt, Ryu and Lara Croft. The trailer also introduces a backpack-based power-up system that grants abilities tied to the crossover characters (e.g., speed from Sonic, flight from Tails), new weapons like Mega Man's arm cannon and an 8-bit shotgun, and hints at a major boss, Geno, appearing in the season.
