Sparkpaw: The Stormstone Quest is an AI-assisted action-platformer being developed for the Amiga 1200 by mrdig, featuring a side-scrolling adventure where the player controls Sparkpaw, an amber-orange cat equipped with a teal energy gauntlet, to navigate clockwork-filled ruins and collect Stormstone Cores. The current alpha includes a single, completable Level 1 with twelve scrolling screens, parallax backgrounds, enemy types (Clockwork Beetles, Storm Striders), water hazards, and basic mechanics such as running, jumping, crouching, and plasma shooting, plus a 64-colour story intro and support for ADF, WHDLoad, and HD builds. The project is notable for being largely generated with AI, including its itch.io page.

British Band Pillow Fort Are Releasing Their Debut Album On GBA Alongside A Rhythm Game

British pop-punk band Pillow Fort from Nottingham will release their debut album *Indefinite, but not Forever* on 2 October, offering it digitally via Bandcamp, on vinyl and cassette, and as a self-developed rhythm game for the Game Boy Advance. The GBA version comes on a physical cartridge limited to 30 copies (with matching box art) and will also be available digitally, with the game's soundtrack comprising the album's tracks. The release is being promoted through the band's own label Cushion Castle and has been highlighted by Time Extension.

Joe & Mac Retro Collection Brings Three "Stone Age" SNES Games To Modern Consoles This October

The Joe & Mac Retro Collection, a Kickstarter-funded project by Red Art Games and G-Mode, will launch digitally on October 29, 2026 for Nintendo Switch (including Switch 2), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, with physical editions for Switch and PS5 arriving in early 2027. The compilation bundles three Data East SNES titles-*Joe & Mac Caveman Ninja*, *Congo's Caper* and *Joe & Mac Lost in the Tropics*-along with their uncensored Super Famicom versions and features such as rewind, save states, CRT filter and a new Boss Rush mode. Physical copies cost €39.99, while a Rock Edition with extra merchandise is priced at €69.99; both are available for pre-order now.
