The Pokémon Company International reported that about 50,000 people attended PokémonXP alongside the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco, but demand far outstripped supply-over 130,000 people entered lottery-based interest lists for passes and special activities, with only roughly 2,000 participants gaining access to events such as autograph sessions and workshops. Director Chris Brown said the lottery system is currently the most reliable way to manage excess demand, though the company is exploring priority-ranking options and other tweaks based on fan feedback collected via surveys and Net Promoter Scores. Looking ahead, TPCi plans to double the number of qualified World-Championship competitors over the next five years, expand the event to new global host cities, and continue refining access to premium experiences.
