EU LCS Semi-final Match Preview – G2 Esports vs Splyce

The first semi-final match between G2 and Splyce is set to be explosive, as both teams fight for a chance at glory. Here's what we can expect out of these two contenders.
Over the course of the European League of Legends Championship Series Spring Regular Season, G2 and Splyce battled back and forth for the chance at a top 2 spot and a quarterfinal bye. In the end, the teams were forced to play in a tie-breaker match to determine who would get a week off. G2 Esports ultimately claimed victory in that match. Now, we’re a week out from Splyce’s dominant victory over ROCCAT, and they are ready to take revenge on G2 for forcing them into the quarterfinals matches.
In the regular season, both Splyce and G2 picked up victory, a situation which led to the facing off in the tie-breaker set. That match proved to be an incredibly dominant performance out of G2 with the teams mostly holding pace with each other until back to back team fight’s allowed G2 to pull ahead massively. Splyce will be looking to maintain their momentum from last week’s quarterfinal showdown with ROCCAT, while G2 will have had a week’s break to potentially come up with a few surprises.
This will be somewhat of a do-or-die situation for both teams, with the winner of this bout heading to the Grand Final, while the loser will be playing for seeding points in the 3rd place match.
