The Fourth Game Boy Pixel Art Jam Is Happening This October

The fourth Game Boy Pixel Art Jam will take place on the weekend of October 10-11, giving participants a 48-hour window to create a 160 × 144-pixel image for a Game Boy-compatible ROM. Organized by Philip Hunt and the GB Studio Central Team, the free community event on itch.io welcomes artists of any skill level, with the qualifying works later compiled into a downloadable ROM and optionally sold on cartridge by InsideGadgets. Previous jams have had their artwork displayed at European events, offering participants international exposure.

Bobr Hopper is a native AmigaOS port of a frogger-style crossing game, letting players guide a beaver or a chicken across roads, rivers and train tracks. The developer rewrote the engine from scratch for classic Amiga hardware, using a 16.16 fixed-point orthographic system and pre-baked sprites (11 poses, 12 angles) that are drawn without a floating-point unit, with low-res (320×240) and high-res (640×480) graphic sets. It runs on a 68020 or better CPU (no FPU), requires AGA or RTG graphics, about 1 MB chip RAM and 6-12 MB fast RAM, and streams music from disk.

Psikyo Memories Shmup Collection Coming In 2027 For PS5 And Nintendo Switch 2
At Tokyo Game Show 2026, publisher Edia announced Psikyo Memories, a complete shoot-'em-up collection slated for release in 2027 on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The anthology will gather Psikyo's classic titles-including the Gunbird, Samurai Aces, Strikers, Dragon Blaze and Sol Divide series-though a PC version has not been confirmed.
