Vette! - A 90's game by Spectrum Holobyte arrives on the Amiga via Vesuri
A fan-made team called Vesuri has released an Amiga port of the 1991 Macintosh racer Vette!, running the original 1.02 68000 code through a custom implementation of Mac system services and using native bit-plane graphics, a hardware mouse pointer and the Paula chip for full audio. The port reproduces the four single-player courses set in San Francisco but omits network multiplayer, and while it delivers the game's flat-shaded vector graphics, the unaccelerated 3D rendering results in a noticeably low, choppy frame rate. This release finally fulfills the long-promised Amiga version that was once previewed in retro magazines.

Renowned fan translator Eien ni Hen, known for high-quality English patches of titles such as *Romancing SaGa*, *Fire Emblem*, *Sakura Wars*, *Tear Ring Saga*, *Dragon Force II* and *Beyond Oasis*, has died, a fact announced by fellow translator Garrett Greenwalt. Colleagues and fans highlighted her extensive contributions to ROM-hacking and praised her work for preserving and improving translations of many classic games. The community posted tributes, noting that her efforts will not be forgotten.

Pokémon Dark Rising 2 Remake Gets An Announcement Trailer

An announcement trailer has been released for the upcoming remake of Pokémon Dark Rising 2, a fan-made sequel originally created by DarkRisingGirl and now being rebuilt by Lord Lucario in Pokémon Essentials v21.1. The remake retains the original storyline-rescuing the player's father and freeing Arceus while battling the villain Darugis-but adds Mega Evolutions, all Pokémon from generations 1-6, new moves, hidden abilities, extra gym leaders and custom music. Development is active, but no release date has been announced.
