Solseed: Journey to Spring is a 128K-only update of marinovic's retro platformer for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, expanding the original 48K version to 42 screens-including 18 new rooms, paths and secrets. The game follows an elf who must retrieve 12 magical Solseeds to end an eternal winter, and it adds AY-chip music, configurable controls and a larger, more detailed forest environment.

Modder Turns The Original Nintendo DS Into A Home Console With Touchpad Support

Modder Kouzex has created a prototype called the Dual Station that converts an original Nintendo DS motherboard into a home console with HDMI output, supporting both DS and GBA cartridges and wireless controllers. The design lets users play handheld games on a TV or monitor while retaining stylus functions via touchpad input, and kits for DIY assembly are being developed. The project is still in the prototype stage, but a consumer-ready version may become available soon.

Homebrew developer xfixium confirmed that their fan-made port of Konami's 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game to the Sega Master System is still in development, with a demo expected soon. The team is currently polishing the stage-1 logic in their spare time and has posted a new video compiling earlier progress footage, including improved graphics and music arranged with Louis The SEGA Nerd. This effort follows renewed interest in the title after recent TMNT re-releases, as the original arcade never received an official Master System version.
