Reigns Developer Nerial Shuts Down After 13 Years

Nerial, the London-based studio behind the Reigns series and titles such as The Crush House and Card Shark, announced it is entering hibernation mode and will cease active development after 13 years, with Reigns: The Witcher serving as its final release. A Swedish indie studio, Aurora Arts, has announced Fae & Fauna, an open-world, creature-collecting RPG with cozy life-sim elements that will launch on Steam in early-access during Q1 2027, with a full 1.0 release planned about two years later. The game centers on collecting magical pet Faeons (cats, dogs, and other creatures), crafting, cooking, mining, combat, home decoration, and romance on the island of Saltwick, and the developers aim to expand it to additional platforms after early access.
