The board runs custom software-Sprout Pico (based on a Raspberry Pi RP2350) for local music playback, and Sprout Pi (with a Compute Module Zero) for streaming services and custom apps, including a demo of Crash Bandicoot running on a 4th-gen iPod. The project is being funded on CrowdSupply, promising a retro-gaming capable iPod that retains its original case, screen and click wheel.
